Ok..Firstly I think YRF actually turned Indian Television Red with amazing shows like Mahi Way and Rishta.com….Hearty congratulations…!!
The last episode of Mahi Way aired yesterday…Finally the show has ended….No more waiting for Fridays 8 pm…L.
My liking for every show on television has kept shifting…But this time it didn’t…May be because ‘only’ 24 episodes didn’t give me any chance to change my liking..A few years back ‘Hotel Kingston’ aired on Star One…I guess it was for about 50 episodes….Enjoyed watching even that series..But this time it was different….Apart from enjoying this show I am going to miss this show as well…!!BIG TIME….
Mahi Way is special…For several reasons….Firstly, the show made the protagonist look human…Most show now-a-days make the leading lady look like a flawless and impeccable angel…This time it was different…Mahi was HUMAN…She was good but behaved human…She made her share of mistakes and learnt from them…She wasn’t the 100% ‘sati savitri’…She ate to her heart’s content, spoke her mind, believed in her talent, stood up for what she believed in(right or wrong),made mistakes, corrected herself, continued making mistakes (new as well the old ones), corrected others who went wrong, sometimes managed to forgive sometimes didn’t….She did everything that a normal girl would do…She wasn’t a decked up doll with zero brains…She was brave and was proud of her..!!and that is the reason probably why every girl can easily relate to Mahi…We do not always look Dashing…We are not always right (but we believe we are)…We are always confused about something, however sorted we are mentally…And yes We love to eat (hog sometimes)….;)
Secondly, the cast…Pushtiie (Mahi), Viraf (Shiv) , Siddhant (Ishan) have been very interactive with their fans…I was so happy when I received a reply from each of them…They are just a click away and fans are not complaining..!!;)
Thirdly…The story..the order in which it was presented…everything was relatable….it had a very personal touch..the nagging and loving mother, the strict but friendly father, the adorable younger brother who behaves indifferent….the sister with whom one can keep fighting…everything seemed fun and lovely….!!
So cheers to the entire team of Mahi Way..The 24 episodes were an absolute delight…!!:)
