Aaaaaaaaall is Well..!!

Saw 3 Idiots last night....The more I say the lesser it will be...But 10 of the many things that the movie propogated which come to my mind are here...You are free to let me know if something else comes to your mind after watching 3 idiots

1. Don’t ever be scared…Don’t get bogged down with the pressure of expectations…Just like you expect from people so will they…But just like they don’t always live up to it, it is fine if u don’t..!!;)

2. Do something that will make you say, ‘I WILL do it’ not ‘I HAVE to do it’…..Life will be a lot more peaceful and less complicated….And if you don’t know what you want to do….then just keep going but don’t forget point 1 above..!:P

3. Fall in love….Take your time…There is no deadline for you to fall in love….Go slow but find the right one….Don’t do it for the sake of doing it..(I can’t help but notice the inter-linking of points)..Jo saari cheezein filmoh mein hoti hai…ensure karo ki who saari cheezein ho!Aur jaroor hongi!:D

4. Do not run away from your problems….Don’t be a coward….Face them..Let your problems not chase you...You chase them instead..!

5. Always be flexible…rigidity takes you nowhere…Sometimes you have to mould yourself with changing times and for the good..!!

6. Build up a sense of humour in life….It helps to face problems and helps to see the positive side to life..It helps changing one’s thinking, one’s outlook..

7. Don’t live and make others’ life miserable…Alright..that doesn’t mean you make your own and others’ life miserable….Always LIVE AND LET LIVE..!!

8. Be comfortable with the way you are…You are what you are..God made you…Anybody ridiculing you is ridiculing God…Just chill…J

9. This could have very well been my first point….Be humble at every stage life…When one goes through a low phase Ego comes ahead….but you need to try and make humility win over the ego..!!

10. Lastly….Keep telling yourself….”AAAAALL IS WELL..!!;)”

Saari Umr Hum, Marr marr ke jee liye,Kuch pal toh ab humein jeene do jeene do..

Give me some sunshine, give me some rain, give me another chance...

I want to grow up once again..!!

naya saal....

23 more days to go for 2010 to step in...
I still remember the 1st day of 2009...Time goes so fast...before we even realise its gone..!!
Each year is brought in with resolutions (which may or may not be followed)...Resolutions are an outcome of realisations, lessons that all the previous years taught us....Each year comes in a new teacher with new lessons...and if you don't revise what your previous teacher taught you...nothing to worry..you'll be taught all over again just that it will be accompanied by a punishment --VERY STRICT!!

Just try this...and it will be true...
See yourself on the first day of every year and compare with the last day of that year...You will se the change...in you, in your relations, in your opinions, in your beliefs....

Every year we forgive some...we hurt some, we cherish some memories....we try to erase some of them, we make new plans for the next year...we decide to stick to the old plans....
With the New year we always do something NEW...Thats how we grow...thats how we change...thats how we evolve....

Whatever the new year brings in...good or bad...I just pray that God stands by all of us and gives us the humility and strength to face both....Let not success go over the head and failure kick us down....

SWINE FLU

SWINE FLU……
The IN Disease in our country at this point…!!Everyone has just one thing to talk about, worry about, think about-The H1N1 virus….Dozens of mails informing people of swine flu are being sent each day, people on the roads are all moving with a handkerchief tied or a mask around their mouth...Newspapers, News channels are all busy in finding the numbers by which the count seems to be increasing each day…The number of passengers in various public modes of transport has reduced to half, schools and colleges have been shut down…But guess what….Our economy has shown a growth amidst all this..!!!

It is all scary but at the same time its all getting hyped a little too much…SWINE FLU has been blown out of proportion…I read an article in THE TIMES OF INDIA a few days ago which said that the number of fatal cases even today is more due to diseases like Jaundice and Malaria…Time and again doctors are assuring people to stay calm but the HUMAN MIND!!

The other day I decided to cover my face with my handkerchief since everyone around me in the train was covered(trust me I would have been the odd one out if I hadn’t covered my face)..!!I was feeling so chocked….By the time I got off the train I dropped my protection mask and felt handicapped for the entire day without my thick towel-size handkerchief…!!Ladies wear masks…Its very suffocating…In fact I have seen ladies who occasionally remove their masks to breathe in air and once again put it on!!What’s the whole point???

Leave aside the ladies…..Just yesterday I saw several groups flocking the roads(read: preventing vehicles’ and pedestrians’ movements) for DAHI-HANDI….All the hooligans with masks covering their faces and dancing to all dumb songs in the middle of the road….I was too shocked to even react….If they are so scared why gather around people…At least that would let other fearless and brave people travel peacefully....The worst thing that I heard was when a group of such handi breakers walked in the wrong direction, the others called them back saying.”UDHAR MAT JA,WAHAN SWINE FLU HAI!!!”….And the rest burst out laughing…..It’s become a serious joke amongst people…

I must say The face masks are surely becoming a fashion accessory..!!
SWINE FLU has terrible repercussions but this whole hue and cry has brought in a lot of BENEFITS….
1. If a gang of boys kidnap a girl to rape her…All she needs to do is cough profusely and claim to have SWINE FLU..!!
2. Girls who are forever worried about their makeup…will be relieved as now they have to decorate only their eyes…the rest will be covered with the MASK!!;)
3. Ekta Kapoor will have a new reason to kill her male protagonist.
4. This whole new business of selling masks is a perfect example of JOINT VENTURE…At least now coaching classes will have a new example to give to 12th standard commerce students!!
5. Guests have stayed home for too long???Just tell them your child has been tested positive with H1N1 virus..
6. A lady in the train is not pushing in so that you can sit comfortably??Just dial your friend and start saying, “My roommate has Swine flu, I just hope I haven’t acquired the virus!”
7. Children are nagging you for a new dress??Just tell them all malls are closed for a week….
8. School and College Students-Just enjoy your extended vacations!!

The probability of these benefits is much higher than the probability of acquiring H1N1 virus and going down….So just chill folks..!! ;) Hehe….

I am not the ego....

I came across an old diary of mine a few days back....It belonged to 1999!!!!I had kept a book mark inside it...The diary was blank but still...The bookmark read as--

"We suffer silently wounds inflicted by weapons, suffer the pains of diseases, yet to suffer the thought 'I am not the ego', why such dread?"--Swami Chinmayananda.....

“Beep Beep..Beep Beep..”, rang Jim’s phone…The sound interrupted his thoughts…He realized that an hour and a half had passed by since he came to the park…

He removed his phone from his pocket…There were 4 calls that he had missed and 2 messages that he hadn’t read…All from Emma…

‘Idiot…Whr r u??Lec started..’,said the first message..

‘Jim…Whr r u??Pick up my call…R u ok?’,said the second message..

He hit the reply button and wrote back…

‘I am fine..Tlk 2 u later’

Emma was confused, worried and irritated as she read the message….‘He says he is fine..Hmmm…Whatever!!’, she frowned…She had to give him his birthday gift, all his friends were waiting for him…But he had vanished…
Emma was terribly upset…

'As u wish..Am going home…Belated Happy Birthday 2 u!!', she replied!!

LONELY, ALONE OR LONER??

I read this interview of Shah Rukh Khan published in Mumbai Mirror, somewhere around the release date of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi...This question was the last one in the interview...I thought that SRK answered it really nice!!It goes like this...

"Question: How do you see the difference between lonely, alone, loner? Which defines you?"

"Shahrukh Khan : Lonely is nothing but a state of mind. You can feel lonely when you wish to, you can call upon lonely whenever you want to feel sorry for yourself. Lonely is your best friend who does not even need a phone call. It’s the fastest deliverable commodity as an emotion in the world. You can prolong the period, you can shorten it, and you can bring it back. Some people also use lonely as an artistic expression. I think it is really a tool of self pity with a nice word.I don’t know if it’s the right way to put it, some people by nature are aloof and listen to a different drum beat, they dance to a different music and they are happy. Loners are happy people. Lonely can be unhappy because you wish it to be. But loner is a guy who is not dancing to the music that you hear. So loner is nice, and when I want to intellectualise it, I can be an intellectual loner. I call it reclusive.
Alone is a good space. It is not lonely and it is not dancing to a tune. I think alone is something that you should utilise, as meditation, as self-analysis. I like being alone, a couple of hours a day or an hour a day. I do that in my bathroom. And not necessarily doing the things you do in a bathroom. My family knows about it, it’s a joke that Shah Rukh spends lot time in the bathroom. My bathroom is like a living room. My wife has made it like that. She says you are going to sit there hiding from all of us, then you might as well as well sit in a chair. I just relax and read a book. Sometimes I take a telephone, or a video game. I just sit down and I empty my mind which is also known in modern terms as unwinding. Alone is just to be. It is very important for some kind of a creative process also. Its also great to re-energise yourself. Alone is good, lonely is pathetic because it is self-inflicted, and loner is intellectual reclusiveness. Of these three I am mostly ‘alone’. And to turn a phrase around, ‘At the top it’s always like this, not lonely, just alone.’"

Hmmm...Now if I sit to think of it...Which category would i place myself??hmmm...I really don't know...!!:)...But its time that i sit 'ALONE' and find the answer..!!:D
